This is the fourth book in the popular series The Land Is Our Storybook" and features the Dehcho region of the Dene. "The Land Is Our Storybook" is a series of books about the lands and cultures of Canada's Northwest Territories. In the books, storytellers, elders, and cultural leaders from the ten regions in the Territories share real stories of everyday life in the North today.
Mindy Willett is an educator from Yellowknife, NWT. She has co-authored all of the books in
The Land is Our Storybook series. When not writing she can be found paddling or skiing on the other side of Great Slave Lake.
Tessa Macintosh
is an award-winning northern photographer who raised her family in Yellowknife. In 35 years she has been fortunate to photograph many wonderful northerners and fantastic places across the North. Tessa loves to float a canoe on Great Slave Lake as the full heat of the long summer sun builds. This is to prepare for the cracking solid -35-degree winter nights filled with dancing aurora.
